Historical narratives in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict: Comparative analysis The article is devoted to one of current issues in the post-war situation in the ArmenianAzerbaijani conflict - the issues of ending the conflict in the public consciousness of the two peoples and the role of teaching history, created political myths in this regard. The author points out in comparison that for a number of objective and subjective reasons, historical allusions and myths play a significant role in Armenian society and gives instances showing how profoundly the ideas of exclusivity and maximalism have penetrated into the public consciousness of the Armenian society. The conviction is expressed that without reflecting the postwar "sobering up" of a number of the political and cultural elite of Armenia in teaching history, as one of the key factors in the formation of public consciousness, it is impossible to achieve a real and durable end to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
