In the application of aggregation operations in fuzzy sets, Aczel–Alsina t-norm and t-conorm operations have been widely employed. This paper is motivated to extend the application of Aczel–Alsina t-norm and t-conorm operations to type-2 neutrosophic numbers (T2NN), as they offer flexibility in obtaining various solution sets with different parameters. The fundamental objective of this study is the development of T2NN Aczel–Alsina weighted arithmetic averaging (T2NNAAWAA) and T2NN Aczel–Alsina weighted geometric averaging (T2NNAAWGA) operators for T2NN operations. Additionally, the aim is to devise a novel multiple-attribute decision-making approach tailored for the utilization of these operators. The paper provides comprehensive definitions and proof of the newly developed operators, followed by a comprehensive study to elucidate operations application steps. Subsequently, comparative analyses are conducted between the novel operators and the type-2 neutrosophic number weighted averaging operator. Furthermore, the research presents findings from applications of T2NNAAWAA and T2NNAAWGA operators with different parameter settings. In conclusion, the study recommends the adoption of the developed operators for addressing T2NN-based decision-making problems.
