A study was made of quenching rate effect on characteristic temperatures, intervals of direct and indirect martensite transformation and hysteresis in Ti50Ni50-xCux(x=10, 15.25 at.%) alloys. Two martensite transitions proceed in 10 and 15 at.% Cu concentration. Characteristic temperatures as compared with massive samples displace to the side of low temperatures. Hysteresis depends on copper concentration (minimal - 10 at.% Cu), quenching rate and the presence of the second (first) transition. Amorphous state develops in content of 25 at.% Cu in the alloy and 5×105OC quenching rate. Quenching rate effect on microstructural features of martensite was studied. The influence of alloy state and elastic energy on characteristic temperatures of martensite transformation and hysteresis was discussed.
