The analysis of the properties of geotextile materials used for the manufacture of stationary treatment facilities geotubs. It is shown that for a number of parameters currently used materials do not fully meet the requirements imposed on the product during operation. The main areas of research have been identified to improve the performance of a geotube by selecting for its manufacture special packages of materials with improved filtering properties, increased resistance to UV radiation, by optimizing the seams used for sewing a geotube.
