Abstract

The SnSe-Er2Se3 system is investigated by the methods of thermal, X-ray powder, and microstructural analyses. The formation of the Er2SnSe4 compound is found. The compound belongs to the hexagonal crystal system with the unit cell parameters a = 12.76 Å, c = 14.54 Å, c/a = 1.14, Z = 12.
