The yarn obtained by the self-twisting method due to the specificity of its structure - the presence of zones of multidirectional twisting and zones without twisting has a reduced strength, which does not allow its use as a weft when forming fabrics. The addition of an additional reinforcing component to the yarn composition eliminates this drawback. On the basis of finite element modeling, the design parameters of the device that control the movement of fibers in the drafting device using air flows were substantiated, which ensured the formation of yarn of the required quality. It is shown that the yarn obtained by its physical and mechanical parameters meets the requirements for weft yarns.
