Aynur Alishli is a lecturer, researcher, and project coordinator at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), specializing in Human Resources Management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, and Business Management. With more than ten years of teaching experience at the MBA and undergraduate levels, she has built a strong reputation for delivering practice-oriented, internationally aligned business education. Aynur also serves as an IB Diploma Programme examiner, supporting global assessment standards in Business Management and Economics.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Standardization, and Certification Engineering from the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and an MBA in Finance from Baku State University. She later continued her academic development in the Netherlands, focusing on Cultural Diversity Management under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Jones at the Maastricht School of Management. This experience significantly shaped her approach to teaching, classroom diversity, and organizational culture.
Aynur is currently a PhD candidate, conducting research on tourism economics and sustainable destination development, with an emphasis on Azerbaijan’s tourism-led growth, regional competitiveness, climate-sensitive tourism, and post-conflict revitalization. Her academic interests also extend to digital transformation, HR practices in tourism, strategic management, and the integration of IB Business Management tools into research.
She coordinates the Jean Monnet Module “Modeling the Economic Process for Enhanced Europe: through 4th Industrial Technologies,” where she oversees curriculum development, simulation exercises, research activities, conferences, and international collaboration. Her work spans operational and financial management of EU-supported projects, the design of learning platforms, and the organization of round tables, webinars, workshops, and study visits.
Beyond academia, Aynur works as a business consultant, advising organizations on HR strategy, performance management, leadership development, and organizational resilience. She is known for her structured, analytical approach, student-centered teaching philosophy, and commitment to improving educational quality in Azerbaijan.
