Biography
Currently I am a a Research Associate Professor at the Faculty of Geological Exploration at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University. I also leads the Geoscience and Georesource Research Group at the university. My research focuses on mineral alteration processes, with particular emphasis on clay minerals and their geochemical transformation. My work aims to understand the conditions under which clay minerals become more stable, enhance their capacity to adsorb organic molecules that can be biosignature, and preserve them over long geological timescales.
In addition, I serves as an adjunct researcher at UNEC, where my research centres on soil mineralogy and the role of minerals in improving soil fertility.
