Gunay Fazil gizi Rahimli was born in 1994 in the Aghstafa district.
From 2011 to 2015, she completed her bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics of Baku State University. From 2015 to 2017, she pursued her master's degree in the same faculty, specializing in “Mathematical and Economic Methods of Optimal Control.” She graduated with distinction from both programs.
From 2018 to 2022, she undertook doctoral studies in "Econometrics; Economic Statistics" at UNEC and defended her dissertation in 2025 on the topic “Study of General Equilibrium Models Based on the Social Accounting Matrix.”
Since 2017, she has been working as a research fellow at the Scientific Research Institute for Economic Studies under UNEC. She currently holds the position of research fellow in the Macroeconomic Research Department of the institute.
