Assoc. Prof. GƏRAY MİRZƏYEV

b.e.n., dos. Mirzəyev Gəray Surxay oğlu

Born on 11.01.1958 in the village of Yukhari Aran, Beylagan region.

In 1975, he graduated from the secondary school of Yukhari Aran village.

In 1980-1985, he graduated from the Biology Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University named after S.M. Kirov (now Baku State University) and was appointed to the Institute of Zoology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

In 1985-1998, he worked as a junior and senior research worker at the Institute of Zoology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

In 1993, he defended his dissertation on the topic "Species composition and quantitative distribution of the benthic fauna of the Greater Qizilaghach Bay of the Caspian Sea" and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences.

In the 1999-2000 academic year, he began his scientific and pedagogical activity as a senior lecturer at the Department of "Food Commodity Studies" of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

In 2001-2008, he worked at the Department of "Quality Expertise of Consumer Goods", from 2009-2014 at the Department of "Commodity Studies and Expertise of Food Goods", and from 2015-2020 as an associate professor at the Department of "Expertise of Consumer Goods". Since 2020, he has been an associate professor at the Department of "Engineering and Applied Sciences".

He successfully supervises bachelor's and master's students at the Technical University of Azerbaijan. At the same time, he actively participates in the implementation of budget-designated scientific research works.

He works as the Chairman of the Trade Union Bureau of the Faculty of "Engineering" of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

In 2016, he was awarded honorary diplomas by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in 2020, by the university on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

He has written more than 100 scientific works, including 24 subject programs, 3 methodological instructions, 4 textbooks and 2 textbooks.

He has successfully completed the training programs of the following subjects in the specialty of ecological engineering and has been awarded certificates:

1. General ecology (instructor: Prof. Dr. Ali Gul of Gazi University, Turkey);

2. Climate change and global warming (instructor: Dr. (PhD) Aytac Perihan Akan of Hacettepe University, Turkey);

3. Biological processes in ecological engineering (instructor: Prof. Dr. Serdar Aydın of Istanbul University, Turkey);

4. Environmental impact assessment (instructor: Prof. Dr. Beril Salman Akın of Gazi University, Turkey);

5. Physical foundations of remote sensing (instructor: Prof. Dr. Fatih Aydın, Karabük University, Turkey);

6. Hydrology (instructor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayla Bilgin, Artvin Çoruh University);

7. Integrated water resources management (instructor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayla Bilgin, Artvin Çoruh University).
