Gulsum Mammadova was born on June 7, 1975, in Baku.
In 1992, she was admitted to Western University and graduated in 1996.
In 1998, she enrolled in the master's program at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and completed it in 2000.
Since 2000, she has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of "Taxation and Tax Policy."
In 2004, she became a doctoral student (aspirant) at Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
In 2008, she defended her candidate's dissertation and was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (equivalent to PhD).
She has held various academic positions at UNEC, including Lecturer and Senior Lecturer.
She is currently an Associate Professor at the "Finance and Audit" Department of UNEC.
She is married and has two children.
