Leyla Nazirzada was born on 16 September 1976 in a family of intellectuals in Laki settlement, Agdash district of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 1982 to 1993, she studied at Laki settlement Secondary School No. 6 in Agdash district and graduated with excellent marks.

In 1994, she was admitted to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology of Baku State University and graduated with honours in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy. Between 1998 and 2000, she completed her Master's degree in Social Philosophy at the same faculty, also with honours.

From 2011 to 2013, she earned her second Bachelor's degree in Finance (distance education) at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). On 30 November 2012, she defended her dissertation on “Social Cognition and Social Action” at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy on 23 November 2013.

She began her professional career in 1999 as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Philosophy and Sociology of Baku State University, and from 2000 to 2004, she worked as a part-time lecturer. From 2006 to 2016, she was a lecturer at the Department of Philosophy of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, and from 2016 to 2017, she worked at the Department of Humanities of the same university.

From 2017 to 2021, she was a senior lecturer at the Department of Humanities of UNEC, while also working part-time at Baku Business University and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. Since 1 September 2021, she has been serving as the Head of the Internship Organization Department at UNEC. Since 2023, she has been working as a part-time lecturer at the Department of Career Planning and Development at UNEC.

Leyla Nazirzada has been a member of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) since 2012. Since 2023, she has been a member of the Dissertation Council (FD 1.33) on Philosophy under the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS, and since 2025, a member of the Scientific-Methodological Council of UNEC. She is also a member of the editorial board of the journal “Metafizika.”

She is proficient in Russian and English.

Leyla Nazirzada is the author of 25 scientific works, 3 of which have been published internationally. She is married and has two sons.
