Nurkhodzha Akbulaev, İşletme yönetimi ve finans alanında uzmanlaşmış bir akademisyen olup, özellikle yenilenebilir enerji, kripto para birimleri, sosyal girişimcilik ve finansal sürdürülebilirlik gibi güncel ekonomik konular üzerine yoğunlaşmıştır. Kariyeri boyunca uluslararası bilimsel dergilerde ve konferanslarda çok sayıda makale yayımlamış, Azerbaycan ekonomisinin gelişimine katkıda bulunmuştur. T.C. Sakarya Üniversitesi bünyesinde eğitim almış ve doktora derecesini işletme yönetimi alanında tamamlamıştır. Doktora sonrası çalışmalarında muhasebe ve finans branşına odaklanarak, ekonomik politikalar ve sürdürülebilir kalkınma üzerine uzmanlaşmıştır. Bu eğitim altyapısı, onun akademik kariyerinin temelini oluşturmuştur.
