Assoc. Prof. RAMİN QURBANOV

I am Gurbanov Ramin Musu oglu, born in 1967 in the village of Boyuk Mazra, Basarkechar district of the Republic of Armenia. After graduating from Boyuk Mazra village secondary school with a gold medal, I was admitted to the Faculty of History of Baku State University with one exam. In 1985-1992, I received full-time education at the Faculty of History of Baku State University. In 1986-1988, I was in active military service. In 1992, after graduating from the Faculty of History of Baku State University, I was assigned to the Baku branch of Ganja Technological University as a teacher. The Baku branch became an independent Baku Institute of Commodity Studies and Commerce in 1993. In September 1998, I was elected the head teacher of the “Humanities” department. In June 2000, by the decree of President Heydar Aliyev, the Azerbaijan State Economic Institute and the Baku State Institute of Commodity Studies and Commerce were merged. Since 2000, I have been working as a senior lecturer at the “Humanities” department of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics. On January 7, 2004, I defended my candidate dissertation in the specialty 07.00.02 “History of the Homeland” at the D 01.161 Joint Defense Council of the A. Bakikhanov Institute of History of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. In 2006, my 192-page monograph entitled “The Freedom Movement in Northern Azerbaijan in the First Half of the 19th Century” was published. In 2010, I was elected as an associate professor at the “International Relations” department of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics. In 2010, my 162-page part I textbook entitled “History of the Turkic Peoples” was published. In 2011, my 214-page part II textbook entitled “History of the Turkic Peoples” was published. I am the author of 30 scientific works, 2 textbooks, 1 monograph, 1 methodological manual and 1 methodological manual, 5 bachelor's and 2 master's programs. In 2016, I was appointed as the head of the Department of International Relations. In 2019, due to the abolition of the Department of International Relations, I became the head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Diplomacy. On October 19, 2020, the Department of International Economic Relations and Diplomacy was abolished. From October 19, 2020, I was transferred to the position of full-time associate professor of the Department of Humanities.

On October 1, 2018, I was awarded the Honorary Decree of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for my effective activity in the training of highly qualified personnel.

On November 25, 2020, by order No. F-519 of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I was awarded the badge of the “Advanced Education Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan”. Currently, I am an associate professor of the Department of Humanities at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics. I am married and have 3 children.
