Assoc. Prof. ZÖHRAB PAŞAYEV

Zöhrab Pashayev was born on February 4, 1978, in Baku.

He graduated from secondary school in 1994. On September 14 of the same year, he delivered a speech during the meeting held by National Leader Heydar Aliyev with newly admitted university students.

In 1999, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Finance and Credit from the Azerbaijan Cooperative Institute.

In 2001, he was admitted to the Master's program in Finance and Credit at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), and in 2003, he graduated with distinction.

From 2001 to 2003, he worked at the Institute of Economics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences as a lab assistant, economist, and head of the general department.

Starting in 2003, he worked as a lab assistant at the joint teaching-practice laboratory of the “Finance” and “Banking” departments of UNEC.

Since 2005, he has worked as a part-time lecturer at the “Tax and Taxation” Department.

From 2003 to 2008, he was a doctoral candidate (dissertator) at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

Since 2011, he has served as a Senior Lecturer.

Currently, he holds the position of Associate Professor at the “Finance and Financial Institutions” Department of UNEC.

On November 24, 2012, he defended his dissertation titled “Problems of Forming an Optimal Budgetary Tax Policy” at the Dissertation Council FD.01.211 under the Nakhchivan Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
On June 4, 2013, he was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics by the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On November 27, 2011, he was awarded an Honorary Diploma by decision No. T-393 of the Collegium of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He is the author of 15 scientific publications and has participated in numerous international scientific conferences.
