Xülasə:
The main purpose of this study is to determine how age distribution affects interest in the virtual tourism service and its active use, thus confirming or refuting the theory of age disengagement. The case method study was conducted among 285 potential Chinese travellers, who were interviewed after they had visual and virtual excursions in Beijing’s National Museum. Using DeLone and McLean’s information systems success model, the authors evaluated the impact of constructs such as content quality, system quality, vividness, virtual reality attitude, and telepresence on the behavioural intentions of potential travellers. Based on this, it can be concluded that real technologies are interesting not only to young people, who constantly interact with virtual reality but also to the older generation due to high mobility and convenience–more than 65% of people aged >45 years old confirmed that the virtual tour was more convenient for their perception.
